Inga Paslavičiūtė was born in Klaipėda (Lithuania). She studied German Studies at the universities of Klaipėda and Rostock (Germany) until 2002. Under a scholarship of the DAAD for graduates she completed the master course IT Philology at the Bavarian Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg (Germany). Beside her engagement in the coordination of the elite course ‘East European Studies’ she pursued her doctoral studies in History of East and Southeast Europe at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (Germany). Since October 2009 she has carried out her dissertational project in the Doctoral College in Vienna.
