Born in 1978 in Wiesbaden (Germany). After graduation from the Priv. St.-Josef-Gymnasium Biesdorf in 1997 and military service he took up his studies of History, German, Theater and Romance Studies at the universities of Trier (Germany), Vienna (Austria) and Cluj (Romania) in 1998. From 2000 - 2001 he worked as tutor for the Department of Ancient History of Trier University. His master thesis 2007: ‘The Foundation of the Institute for Theater Studies at the University of Vienna under National Socialism’. Since then he has conducted extensive research in Romanian archives for his dissertation project: ‘The Political Right in Bessarabia 1918-1944’. Wolfram Nieß lives in Vienna and Chişinău.
